Qualtech Supports the Next Generation of Agri-Food Professionals Through a Major Donation to Université Laval

At Qualtech, we believe that the future growth of the agri-food industry depends on investing in the education and development of the next generation of professionals.

With this vision in mind, we are proud to have contributed to Université Laval's Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences (FSAA) through a donation of dairy processing equipment. This contribution includes a cheese-making vat, a cheese finishing table, a vat lift, as well as the equipment required for legal batch pasteurization.

The total value of the donation is estimated at nearly $200,000.

Recently, members of our team had the opportunity to visit Université Laval's facilities to see the equipment being used in its learning environment.

The visit allowed us to witness firsthand the impact of this contribution on educational and research activities. Seeing students, researchers, and faculty members use the equipment in real-world food processing applications highlighted the importance of strong partnerships between academia and industry.

Supporting the Next Generation

Thanks to this new equipment, students, interns, and researchers will benefit from an enhanced learning environment that enables them to develop practical skills directly applicable to the agri-food sector.

This initiative also strengthens Université Laval's research and innovation capabilities while supporting the continued growth of Quebec's dairy industry at a time when productivity, sustainability, and climate adaptation challenges are more important than ever.
